Rendering
Discover the details behind what we can deliver for your rendering project.
We can dispatch skilled renderers to work on projects involving solid plastering, cement rendering, acrylic rendering Venetian plastering or Tadelakt plaster. We can also work with cement render to create unique features such as keystones, coins, corbellings, mouldings and segmented arches.
We are adaptable and pride ourselves on our library of practical knowledge, so if the specific material or technique you are looking for doesn’t appear here, simply get in touch.
SOLID PLASTERING & CEMENT RENDERING
One main element of solid plastering is cement rendering.
Generally, traditional cement rendering is the process of applying a site mix of sand, cement and lime to masonry walls to achieve a smooth finish. This allows a smooth canvas for painting, applying architectural coatings or plaster finishes.
A variety of rendering textures and finishes are available. The most popular is a sponge finish render, which is applied at 10-12mm thickness and screeded to ensure the wall is flat. Screeding (the use of a straight edge), removes any high points. Low spots are filled and additionally screeded until we achieve a flat surface. Wall is then floated and sponged
Additional Cement Render finishes and application techniques available:
- bagging
- rough casting
- dry casting
- terroline
- Spanish swirl
- Many more.
ACRYLIC RENDERING
Perfect for commercial and industrial projects.
Acrylic render is ideal as an alternative to sand or cement rendering, with its great adhesive qualities and water resistance. After application, acrylic rendering can be painted within a week, (some as soon as 48 hours later), depending on the manufacturer’s advice. The acrylic render we use is made of cement-based polymer material, which minimises the possibility of drying, shrinkage, rust spots, or efflorescence (salt coating).
The biggest advantage of using acrylic render? The speed of application. Sand and cement can be sprayed, but that process is prone to blockages. Acrylic render is pre-blended. It’s 100% designed to be sprayed. Often ready to paint within just 48 hours, scaffolding can be removed from a site earlier, reducing your hiring costs.
Where a full acrylic render, texture and paint system is provided in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations or requirements, and product warranties of up to 20 years are available
